Your data, explained clearly
Effective August 20, 2026
Ivy Class is a student dashboard that connects to Google Classroom so you can review classes, assignments, grades, and due dates in one place. This policy explains what information the app accesses, why it is used, and the choices available to you.
When you choose “Continue with Google,” Google asks you to approve specific permissions. Depending on the permissions you grant, Ivy Class may access:
Ivy Class requests read-only Classroom permissions. It does not create, edit, submit, or delete content in Google Classroom.
The app uses Google data only to provide its student dashboard features: displaying your courses, estimating overall class grades from available graded work, organizing upcoming due dates, and showing submission status.
Google user data is not used for advertising, sold to third parties, or used to train general-purpose artificial intelligence models.
Google Classroom and profile data is loaded into your browser for the current session. This version of Ivy Class does not operate an application database and does not send that Google data to an Ivy Class server.
Assignments you add manually are stored in your browser’s local storage on that device. They remain there until you delete them, clear your browser data, or use a browser setting that removes local site data.
Ivy Class does not sell or rent personal information. The app communicates directly with Google services to authenticate you and retrieve the information you authorize. Google processes information under its own terms and privacy policies.
The site’s hosting provider may process limited technical data, such as IP address, device information, request logs, and security events, as necessary to deliver and protect the website.
Ivy Class’s use and transfer of information received from Google APIs adheres to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.
Reasonable safeguards are used to protect the app and limit access to the information needed for its features. No method of internet transmission or electronic storage is completely secure, so absolute security cannot be guaranteed.
Ivy Class is intended for students who are permitted to use the app and connect their Google account. If your account is managed by a school, parent, guardian, or organization, that administrator may control your ability to authorize the app. Users should follow their school’s technology and privacy rules.
This policy may be updated as the app changes. The effective date at the top of this page identifies the current version. Material changes should be reviewed before continuing to use the app.
Questions, privacy requests, or concerns about Ivy Class should be directed to the site operator using the support contact published with this deployment.
Rules for using Ivy Class
Effective August 20, 2026
These Terms of Service govern your access to and use of Ivy Class. By using the app, you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, do not use the app or connect your Google account.
Ivy Class provides a personal dashboard for viewing information from Google Classroom and organizing manually added schoolwork. Features may change, be suspended, or be discontinued as the app develops.
You may use Ivy Class only if you are legally permitted to do so and are authorized to connect the Google account you select. If your account is managed by a school or organization, you are responsible for following its policies and obtaining any required permission.
You are responsible for protecting access to your device and Google account. Ivy Class uses Google’s authorization process and does not ask for your Google password. You may revoke access through your Google Account settings.
You agree not to:
Ivy Class is an organizational aid, not an official academic record. Grade calculations are estimates based only on information available through Google Classroom and may omit weighting, extra credit, unposted work, teacher adjustments, or school-specific grading rules.
You remain responsible for confirming grades, assignments, deadlines, and submission status with your teacher, school, and official Classroom records.
The app depends on services provided by Google and may include links to other websites. Ivy Class does not control those services and is not responsible for their availability, content, security, or practices. Your use of third-party services is governed by their own terms.
Ivy Class and its original design, text, and software are protected by applicable intellectual property laws. These terms give you a limited, personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable right to use the app for its intended purpose. They do not transfer ownership of the app or third-party content to you.
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Ivy Class is provided “as is” and “as available,” without warranties of any kind. The operator does not guarantee that the app will be uninterrupted, error-free, secure, or accurate, or that it will meet every school’s requirements.
To the fullest extent permitted by law, the Ivy Class operator will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for losses arising from missed deadlines, inaccurate grade estimates, unavailable third-party services, account access, or loss of locally stored information.
Some jurisdictions do not allow certain warranty exclusions or liability limitations, so portions of this section may not apply to you.
You may stop using Ivy Class at any time. Access may be restricted or terminated if necessary to protect the app, users, third parties, or connected services, or in response to misuse or legal requirements.
These terms may be updated as the service changes. The effective date at the top identifies the current version. Continuing to use Ivy Class after updated terms take effect means you accept the revised terms.
Questions about these terms should be directed to the site operator using the support contact published with this deployment.
